The driver escaped the spot with the truck after the occurrence that happened in Delhi’s Seemapuri and a hunt is on for the blamed.
New Delhi: Four individuals were killed after they were run over by a speeding truck when they were dozing on a street divider in upper east Delhi the previous evening. Two others were additionally harmed in the episode that happened close to the Delhi Transport Organization (DTC) transport terminal in Seemapuri region at 1.51 am, police said.
The dead were recognized as Kareem, 52, Chhote Khan, 25, Shah Alam, 38, and Rahu, 45. Manish, 16, and Pradeep, 30, were among those harmed.
Two of the six casualties passed on the spot, said police, adding that four others were hurried to the GTB clinic. One of them was pronounced brought dead and another kicked the bucket during treatment, said Delegate Chief of Police (Shahdara) R Sathiyasundaram.
Visuals earlier today showed their bodies close to the divider and an electric post brought down at the spot.
The driver was driving impulsively and carelessly, said Mr Sathiyasundaram.
